Product Description The SaniTimer is a fully patented and award winning hand washing timer that facilities nationwide are picking up to assist in patient quality assurance measures as well as infection control as it aims at eliminating HAI rates linked to poor hand hygiene.  The CDC and health authorities world wide have researched and dictated the proper methodology for proper hand hygiene and one of the main components is timing.  With this device, they can make sure to adhere to these time requirements each and every time they practice hand hygiene to ensure they are doing it correctly as the device provides a visual aid as well as audio aid to ensure proper hand hygiene.  The SaniTimer very quickly and easily attaches to any standard hand washing sink or station, much like a Brita Filter does right onto the faucet, and when the user starts the flow of water, the timer automatically starts counting down per CDC recommended time each and every time.  The unit does not have to be programmed, and comes with a battery and small wrench for tightening (if needed) right in the box.There are no buttons to push or any reason at all for users to even touch the device except for when it may need a light cleaning every now and then.  With the device being so user friendly and not needing to be touched, this leads to less cross contamination and fewer areas of contact to prevent infection.  The unit also works on hands free sinks as well as pedal operated sinks as it is not necessary for the flow of water to continue to keep the timer on. Once the timer is triggered, it will finish the cycle regardless of the flow of water stopping or starting.  At the end of the cycle, there is a beep which is loud enough to be heard, but not too loud as to be obnoxious, and the device resets itself for the next user.
