Orthosis for stabilization of the thumb saddle and first metacarpophalangeal joints. It is a thumb splint for fast relief from painful overuse syndrome. It can be worn at work or during sports when thumb joint and motion restrictions are necessary yet impact and stretching are expected. It restricts painful thumb joint motion. Adjustable Velcro® closure pulls back the thumb so motion at the joint is effectively limited. Cinching the Velcro® abducts the thumb so motion at the joint is restricted even more effectively. Individually shapeable aluminum strap ensures maximum stability of the thumb saddle and thumb joint. Velcro thumb tab allows optional adjustment of movement restriction at the base of the thumb. Adjustable Velcro fastenings around the wrist and thumb for individualized compression, precise fit, and ease of fitting and removal. Soft, seamless, lightweight, breathable material with air pores allows air circulation so your skin breathes. Medically effective support, leaves fingers completely free for full movement and fits easily inside a glove. Thumb can still be used for grasping and daily activities can continue uninterrupted. Can also be worn at night with no compression, by loosening the straps. Latex free.
